What makes the Minami brand stand out?

They pride themselves on striving for the smallest possible environmental footprint whilst offering one of the highest-concentrated omega 3’s. Their fish oils come from small fish species that aren’t endangered, including sardines, anchovies and mackerel. In fact all of their Friend of the Sea certified products are totally pure, so don’t include any of the nasty things like fillers, heavy metals, solvents and saturated fats. And thanks to a patented supercritical CO2 extraction process, you’ll get more of what you need, and less of what you don’t with Minami Nutrition.

How did the brand start?

It was founded in 1999 by Jo Wyckman in Belgium. Jo read up on supercritical carbon dioxide distillation in 2002 and managed to acquire exclusivity on the manufacturing procedures in order to create omega 3 products for the commercial market. At the start of 2011, Minami was acquired by Atrium Innovations in January who have since gone to become part of the Nestlé group.
