Lamberts Co-Enzyme Q10 200mg

Health supplement that plays a vital role in the release of energy from food.
MAXIMUM STRENGTH

  • A full 200mg per capsule, which is the strength increasingly recommended by practitioners
  • Natural Source
  • Dissolved in vegetable oil to aid absorption
  • Endorsed by one of the original researchers who first discovered CoQ10
  • Gelatin-free capsules, made in the UK to pharmaceutical GMP standards.

Common uses

  • In heart disease and artery disease (weakened heart muscle, high blood pressure, heart rhythm disorders, angina)
  • Circulation (e.g. Raynaud's disease)
  • Gum disease

Co-enzyme Q10 is found in foods, particularly organ meat, but cooking and processing methods tend to destroy it and, whilst it can be made in the body, production declines as we age. In fact, a lack of energy in older people may, in part, be connected with lower co-enzyme Q10 production in the body.

A lack of co-enzyme Q10 has been associated with periodental (gum) disease. Similarly it has been shown that those with certain heart conditions and people who are overweight tend to have low co-enzyme Q10 levels.

In a major study in Italy of more than 2500 patients with heart failure, 80% showed improvement when a daily dose of 100mg of coenzyme Q10 was added to their other treatment. They had better colour and less ankle swelling (oedema) and shortness of breath, and began to sleep better after taking the supplement for 90 days.*

Lamberts CoEnzyme Q 10 -200mg Information

CoQ10 is also known as ubiquinone, and is a vitamin-like substance found within the mitochondria of every cell in the human body. It is the mitochondria that are responsible for extracting approximately 50% of the total energy from the food we eat. It is therefore not surprising to find the highest concentrations of CoQ10 in those organs, which have the highest energy requirements such as the heart muscle and liver, and in those tissues that regenerate quickly such as the gums. A lack of CoQ10 has been associated with periodental (gum) disease. Similarly it has been shown that heart patients and the obese tend to have low CoQ10 levels.
Whilst CoQ10 can be made in the body, production declines as we age. In fact, a lack of energy in older people may, in part, be connected with lower CoQ10 production in the body. It has also been shown that cholesterol lowering drugs, called statins, reduce Co-Q10 levels in the body, so people taking statins are increasingly recommended to take a Co-Q10 supplement.

We use natural CoQ10, the form used in most studies and we present it dissolved in vegetable oil to aid absorption.
