Eskimo-3 Balanced Mind 50 Capsules
Eskimo-3 Balanced Mind is the new name for Eskimo Advanced EPA. It provides 550 mg Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 115 mg Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) per capsule from fish oil. Marine omega-3's are helpful for virtually all aspects of health, and according to the National Diet & Nutrition Survey, most people in the UK fail to consume the government recommendation of one portion of oily fish per week.
What's changed from the original formula?
When Eskimo Advanced EPA was rebranded to 'Balanced Mind' back in June of 2021 it had some slight but notable changes to its formula. 20 mcg (800 iu) Vitamin D was added, while Vitamin E was increased from 1 mg to 5 mg. Iron oxide was removed, meaning the new capsule colour is clear instead of black. The formula also no longer contains a soybean allergen.

Does omega-3 improve your mood?
Fatty acids are really important in supporting the brain to function better. In fact, sixty percent of the brain is made up of fat, while DHA alone comprises over ninety percent of the omega 3 fatty acids found within the brain. Omega-3s in particular are essential for the structure and normal functions of the brain and nervous system. They have many important neurological functions, with DHA being especially important for the structure of the brain, whilst EPA supports balances inflammatory processes and promotes healthy nerve cells. Balanced inflammation is just as important in the brain as it is in the rest of the body and more and more studies increasingly point towards the protective effects of fish oil upon the brain. Furthermore, some research has even gone on to conclude that omega 3 may prove an effective therapy for mood disorders, such as depression.
