Is fish oil good for kids?
Omega 3 and 6 are important for kids' health, growth and development, with omega 3 especially beneficial for brain health. It is also believed that they may improve the quality of sleep and reduce the symptoms of asthma & ADHD. Many parents experience difficulties when getting their children to eat the Government recommended portion of both fish and oily fish per week. Results from the British National Diet & Nutrition Survey show that over the past 6 years we have made little improvement in encouraging children to eat oily fish. It also shows that a worrying proportion of children and young people have low intakes of some brain-supporting nutrients.
What is equazen used for?
Ideally, children would obtain all the Essential Fatty Acids they need from their diet, but where this isn’t possible, this liquid is available as a supplement to help bridge any potential nutritional gaps.
