What is Serrapeptase?

Serrapeptase is a proteolytic enzyme that is derived from the Serratia bacteria found in the intestines of silkworms. It is a natural anti-inflammatory agent that has been used for centuries in traditional medicine.

What does Serrapeptase do?

Serrapeptase works by breaking down proteins, which can help to reduce inflammation in the body. It has been shown to be effective in reducing swelling, pain, and other symptoms associated with inflammatory conditions.

What are the health benefits of serrapeptase?

The health benefits of Serrapeptase are numerous and diverse. Some of the conditions that Serrapeptase has been shown to help with include:

Inflammation and pain
Arthritis
Sinusitis
Bronchitis
Fibroids
Cystic fibrosis
Sports injuries

Does Serrapeptase have any side effects or can I take too many?

Serrapeptase is generally considered safe and well-tolerated, with few reported side effects. However, like any supplement, it is possible to take too much, which can cause digestive upset or other side effects. It is important to follow the recommended dosage instructions and speak with a healthcare professional before taking any new supplement.

What happens to the residue?

Serrapeptase is broken down by the body's natural processes and eliminated as waste. There is no residual build-up in the body.

Why can Serrapeptase benefit so many different conditions?

Serrapeptase is effective in reducing inflammation, which is a common factor in many different health conditions. By reducing inflammation, Serrapeptase can help to alleviate symptoms and improve overall well-being.

How long does it take for serrapeptase to start working?

The length of time it takes for Serrapeptase to start working can vary depending on the condition being treated and the individual's response. Some people may experience benefits within a few days, while others may take longer to see results.

In conclusion, Serrapeptase is a natural enzyme with powerful anti-inflammatory properties and a wide range of health benefits. By reducing inflammation, it can help to alleviate symptoms and improve overall well-being. If you are interested in trying Serrapeptase, it is important to speak with a healthcare professional first to ensure that it is safe for you to use.

I have two mild heart conditions - an ectopic heartbeat that I've had for many years with no ill effects; and recently-diagnosed SVT. Following the SVT episode I've been on beta blockers for 18 months at 1.25mg per day, and the side effects are vile! I'm not taking any other meds. Can I safely take Serrapeptase while I wean off the beta blockers?

We are advised that there is no issue with taking the Serrapeptase meanwhile but we cannot advise on your medication and you should consult your doctor concerning weaning yourself of prescribed medication.

Although there are some "scare" stories on one or two irresponsible websites, this is absolutely not true.

John,

Before replying to your question, we checked carefully with manufacturer's clinical teams who confirmed that it was not true. There is plenty of contradictory advice on the internet about many things, much of it misleading, much of it misguided and sometimes deliberate: often as a result of "conspiracy theories". It is not always easy to check if a source is reputable and/or accurate. However, you will be aware that we are not able to give individual medical advice and if you are still in any doubt you should consult your medical practitioner or nutritionist.

I cannot swallow serapectase so I open the pill and dissolve it in water is this a problem is it safe? I have headache the first day taking this tablet and slight diarrhea how to treat pain no one then

Editor
05 February 2021  |  16:04

It is perfectly safe to open the capsule and take it with water. Serrapeptase should be taken on an empty stomach though. In effect it "clears away debris" so you may experiece a change in the colour of solids that you pass. This iss natural. So,many people who can't swallow capsules use the tablets, which can be broken or split. Any of these side effects should reduce with use after intial use for a day or so but demonstrate that the serrapeptase is foing what it should. If the symptoms persist you could reduce the dose then gradually increase it.

I am 74 years old and have been taking Serronal one tablet prior to breakfast for many years. I have recently received another order of these and notice that these should be taken 3 times a day. (I prefer one a day.
I also notice that the vitamin D3 content is 1,000iu per tablet. This three times a day 3,000iu. Is this amount too much taken daily.

I had a cardiac ablation in october 2020. As I understand it this procedure creats scar tissue to block the nerve pathway stopping the heart going into rapid heatbeats at any time unexpectedly. Will serrapeptase have a detrimental effect on this scar tissue and cause this problem to return by dissolving the scarring which was right on the edge of the sinus.

My husband has crohns and is having issues because of scar tissue from previous surgeries. We were told that in order for Serrapeptase to work he should not eat chicken or any type of meat. Is this true? How does meat effect it’s ability to work?

Serrapeptase was a miracle for my nasal allergies and chronic sinusitus. But I, and a friend, noticed arthritic knuckle joint "blow-outs" with permanent bumps or bone spurs during use. A hand specialist mentioned to me that scarring on joints (or synovial tissue?) is necessary for healing. Could Serrapeptase be removing these healing scars?

12 months ago I was diagnosed with a large diverticulum in the ascending colon which may cause low grade inflammation. I now get regular and frequent pains in that area that last 10-20 minutes. I was advised to take pain killers but I have never been keen on taking them too often. Would serrapeptase help and if so what dose should I take?
