Researchers are constantly investigating chronic inflammation’s effects on health and possible preventive medical applications. The most common drugs to combat acute inflammation are Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). However, these drugs have side effects. NSAIDs include such drugs as ibuprofen (Nurofen for example). Codeine is of course, highly addictive but does not work well on its own so as well as its own side effects, it is often combined with Ibuprofen, meaning that as well as the possibility of addiction you have the side effects of the NSAID.
