It is a fourteen strain formulation that includes:

1. Bacillus subtilis PXN 21.

5. Lactobacillus helveticus PXN 45.
6. Lactobacillus plantarum PXN 47.

This bacteria is cryoprotected during the freeze drying process, which gives two main benefits. The first, is that the bacteria is protected from the harsh acid environment of the stomach and is therefore able to colonise the full length of the gastrointestinal tract. This process also allows the product to be stored at room temperature without the need for refrigeration.

What are the benefits of taking Bio-Kult?

This original formula may help to restore the natural balance of the "good" bacteria in a patient's gut, if it's been disrupted by sickness or medications.

How long does Bio-Kult take to work?

It is a natural product and any difference seen will vary between each patient. This could range from a few days to a few months.

• Adults and children 12+ years: Take 1-4 capsules daily, with food.
• Children 3-11 years: Take 1-2 capsules daily, with food.
• If taking antibiotics: Take 4 capsules daily, ideally at a different time of the day from the antibiotics. Continue taking for at least 2 weeks after completion of antibiotic course.
• When travelling: 1 week before travel follow guidelines for general use. During travel take 4 capsules daily and continue to take for at least 1 week following the end of travel.
