A.Vogel Kelp may be particularly useful to those who regularly feel sluggish due to a ‘slow metabolism’.
Does kelp help with weight loss?
Some studies suggest that kelp may help with weight loss, however at the time of writing, consistent research was lacking. What we do know is that kelp has a natural fibre alginate which is often used to thicken foods such as jelly, ice-cream, salad cream and toothpaste. This alginate has also been found to have the ability to bind to, and prevent fat-absorption, meaning in theory it should stop the absorption of fat in the human gut.
Are kelp tablets safe to take?
These tablets are not suitable for children, but should be safe to take for most adults. Pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as those adults who are allergic to any of the listed ingredients, should not take A.Vogel Kelp. Taking an iodine rich supplement with medicine used to treat high Blood Pressure or certain diuretics is also not advised, as it can increase the risk of high blood Potassium levels, which may lead to an abnormal heart beat.
