About Eczema

Flaky, scaling, thickened skin, often itchy and red.  Dermatitis or eczema is often caused by allergies in which case it’s called ‘allergic or contact dermatitis’.  Suspect cosmetics, washing powders, perfumes, rubber, latex, metals from clothes or jewellery or plants. It can also be water or sunlight.  Stress can make the problem worse.

‘Atopic dermatitis’ often appears in babies or toddlers, particularly in the creases of the body, e.g. behind the knees, in the elbows, neck and face.  Suspect allergies, particularly to cow’s milk and cow’s milk products.  Oranges are also often a problem.

We have had excellent success (though not in every instance) with using the patient’s own urine on the problem area.  This has sometimes cleared up the most horrible eczema/dermatitis.  If the skin is very raw and open, mix the urine with vegetable glycerine oil from the chemist.  Dab it on and leave it to dry on the body.   This treatment has been used for several thousand years and is recommended in many scriptures, e.g. the Bible, Upanishads, etc.

Poultices combining chaparral, dandelion, goldenseal, and yellow dock root can also be helpful – for external use.
