About Constipation
If
you read
Colon Cleansing and
our full Constipation article you will see that it’s best if your bowels move twice, or even three
times per day. The stool should be
fibrous and easy to pass. Most
people on a modern Western style diet suffer from constipation, whether they
know it or not. Constipation can
lead to many different ailments, including appendicitis, fatigue, gas, varicose
veins, bad breath, coated tongue, headaches, haemorrhoids (piles), hernia,
digestive problems, overweight, poor skin and many more.
Some drugs can cause constipation, as can excess iron supplements.
During pregnancy it’s also a common problem, especially when large
amounts of iron are taken.
