What is Cellulite?

There is plenty of controversy over what cellulite is.  Some people suggest it’s only toxicity around and in fat cells, and others say it’s hormonal.  More likely, both are true.  One thing is sure, although mechanical methods like liposuction may reduce cellulite for a while, nothing will keep it away unless you eat a clean and healthy diet, long-term.  Exercise such as swimming and rebounding will be helpful, but not in isolation.  Strength-building and resistance exercises (weights, etc) will be helpful in that muscle is built which burns fat.  Incorporate 5 minutes of dry skin brushing every day (for details see Colon Cleansing).

 

Nutrition Facts & Diet Advice for Cellulite

The following nutrition facts, diet advice and health supplements could be considered:

  • If you are overweight, aim to lose the excess pounds in a slow and steady way.  Follow the weight-loss programme on this site. Also try the detoxifying programmes mentioned elsewhere on this site. A diet high in complex carbohydrates and low in refined carbohydrates and fats is very important. You will, however, still need fats in the form of Omega 3 and Omega 6 (flaxseed, fish oil and evening primrose oil) as these not only melt the hard fats, but are also anti-inflammatory. 

  • Drink 2 litres of spring or filtered water every day.  Avoid coffee, tea, soft drinks, sugar, excess alcohol and fried foods.
