Nutri-West Calac

Assimilable Calcium and Magnesium
Product Type: Nutritional Supplement

Features

  • Calcium lactate and magnesium citrate in a ratio of 5:1, which helps to maintain the biochemical equilibrium between calcium and magnesium.

  • Calcium lactate is an alkalising form of calcium and may help reduce acidity and may therefore be beneficial for the musculoskeletal system.

  • Calcium lactate is a very well absorbed form of calcium.

  • Magnesium is essential for many body processes including maintenance of muscle tone.

  • Magnesium citrate is a very well absorbed form of magnesium.

Nutritional Supplement Recommended Intake:

4-12 Nutri-West Calac tablets daily with food, or as professionally directed

Each Nutri-West Calac tablet typically contains: Calcium (Lactate) 41mg, Magnesium (Citrate) 8.2mg. Tableted with Microcrystalline Cellulose, Vegetable Fat and Magnesium Stearate. Correct as at 03/2000.

Caution: Thyroxine users

Recent research suggests that calcium supplementation may cause the medicine thyroxine (widely prescribed to treat an underactive thyroid) to be less effective and may slow the absorption of thyroxine into the bloodstream and thus lower effectiveness. Taking calcium and thyroxine 6 to 12 hours apart may prevent interference. In every event, we would advise all individuals to inform their doctor of all supplements they are taking in conjunction with thyroxine.

Individuals who have had part of their thyroid removed, along with one or more parathyroid glands, will need to monitor calcium levels (your GP will be able to arrange this).
