Thorne Research Undecyn

Undecyn combines the beneficial flora-producing qualities of Formula SF722 with grapefruit seed extract, betaine HCl (for acidification), and the endotoxin-binding activity of bentonite clay.

Each capsule contains:

15mg    Calcium (from 150mg calcium undecylenate)

37.5mg  Grapefruit seed extract

150mg   Bentonite clay

150mg   Betaine HCl

Undecylenic acid occurs naturally on the surface of skin where it seems to have an anti-yeast and anti-candida effect. It is:

1. A Fatty Acid (10-undecenoic acid)
2. A natural product which occurs on skin (sweat)
3. Produced commercially by a vacuum distillation of castor bean oil
4. An antifungal fatty acid

One study showed undecylenic acid to be 6 times more powerful than caprylic acid in Candida infections.¹

Undecyn has 150 mg of undecylenic acid.

This formula also contains:

• Betaine HCl for acidification and to promote digestion and detoxification

• Bentonite clay to aid in absorption of endotoxins and help heal the gut lining

• Grapefruit seed extract to help normalise gut bacteria
