18 Years of
Clinical Research by an Eye Physician Yield a Medical Breakthrough
"I had seen hundreds of patients
frustrated by dry eyes and I wanted to help them. That's why I developed
and patented TheraTears. I worked on this for 18 years and didn't give
up. Use TheraTears and you will feel the difference."
Jeffrey
P. Gilbard, MD
TheraTears contains the
patented electrolyte balance that precisely matches that of the human
tear film so they are compatible with the eye surface. The result - a
drop that feels as comfortable as natural healthy tears and that are
safe to use as often as you like.
TheraTears Liquid Gel is
a thicker version of TheraTears that is perfect for
night time, or for those who need a longer-lasting protective film during
the day. Because TheraTears Liquid Gel is so long-lasting, it is
formulated without a preservative so that unlike preserved gels, there
never needs to be a concern regarding preservative-induced irritation.
And because of its patented electrolyte balance, you will never
experience the “electrolyte imbalance toxicity” you may get from other
products.
Send Me Another
3-month Supply
When fellow doctors
ask me about what feedback I've been receiving from patients I love
telling this true story.
- Jeffrey P. Gilbard, MD
I had a young woman in my practice with
very severe dry eyes. They were so dry that she was on disability
and living alone in an apartment in Cambridge. They were so dry that she
decided to move to Seattle, where it rains all the time, hoping that
that would help her. Well it didn’t. So TheraTears came out and
we sent her a three-month supply. And three months later the phone rings
and it’s this patient from Seattle. "Hello, this is so & so" she says,
"I think the drops are working. Send me another 3-month supply." So we
send her another three-month supply and again three months later the
phone rings. And it’s this patient again from Seattle. "Hello, this is
so & so" she says, "The drops are working and I’m going back to work.
Send me another three-month supply." So we send her another three-month
supply of TheraTears and 3 months later the phone rings and it’s
this patient again from Seattle. "Hello, this is so & so" she says "I’m
calling from work, I met a guy, and I’m getting married! .…And by the
way send me another 3-month supply of the TheraTears."
Now wait a minute--the story gets
better.
So a couple of days later the phone
rings and it’s a pharmacist who has dry eyes. And she says that
she’s been using the TheraTears and her eyes feel much better,
and that she used to have headaches and that they went away too, and she
was wondering if it was possible that TheraTears made her
headaches go away. So I said, "well, I don’t know about headaches, but
if you're not careful you could end up getting married!"

Very dry eyes, May 2, 2004
"I had lasik surgery in January 2004. My
vision at first was great. Gradually it become more and more fuzzy. On a
recent visit to my surgeon I asked him for a prescription for distant
glasses. I just could not focus when driving. He said that my eyes were
dry and just needed more drops. I started using TheraTears and within a
week my vision cleared to 20/15! I cannot believe the difference. I use
the drops every night and in the morning I have clear, distinct vision.
Great product!"
the best drops - TheraTears Liquid Gel, February 15, 2005
TheraTears Liquid Gel drops are the best
eye drops for dry eyes. I've tried them all and these are the best. I
have chronic dry eyes. For best results use drops the first thing in the
morning before eyes get really watery to stop the onset of the dry eye
condition. They seem to be really thick drops so they offer the most
lubrication to the eyes.
The best single-use eye drops yet very expensive, August 6, 2004
I use two boxes of Thera Tears
preservative free eye drops each week because I have dry eye syndrome
and Thera Tears makes the best single-use eye drops, no other eye drops
works like Thera Tears single-use eye drops, I even tried Thera Tears
single-use eye gel but it was not that good although it is a good eye
lubricant it leaves lots of build-up and crust in and around your eyes.
I also tried the regular Thera Tears eye drops which contains
prexervatives, but I could not use it as often as the preservative free
singles because if I used it more than five times in one hour it tended
to irritate my eyes and it did not provide as much lubrication as my
eyes needed. The only proplem with Thera Tears single-use eye drops is
the price, Thera Tears single-use eye drops cost about 11-14 dollars a
box depending on the store you buy them at, Target is the cheapest place
to get these eye drops, you can get these eye drops for $9.99 plus tax
at Target. You can also buy them at Amazon for $10.25 a box and no
additional charges will be added if you order more than one or two boxes
when you make your order because you don't have to pay the shipping &
Handeling fee if your order is about or more than $25.
Don't buy Thera Tears single-use eye drops at Walgreens or Rite Aid
because it is a ripoff, if you are lucky Wal-Mart will have them,
althoug most of the time I go to Wal-Mart they are out of Thera Tears
singles because people buy them as soon as they are placed on the shelf,
even when I go to Target I usually get the Last box, the Price Club or
Costco used to sell two boxes for $13, what a deal, but they stopped
carrying them.
I've been using eye drops for the last 13 years, and I tried every brand
one can imagine, but for the last 4 years I've been using Thera Tears
singles exclusively, because no other eye drops provide such Lubrication
to the eyes. Even though Thera Tears single-use eye drops cost me
a fortune so far, I don't feel like it was a waste of money because my
eyes need such Lubrication.
A portion of the
purchase price of TheraTears funds critical research at the Schepens Eye
Research Institute dedicated to fighting blinding and painful eye
conditions.
