METAGENICS EARNS NNFA GMP CERTIFICATION
WITH SOLID ‘A’ RATING

Nutritional Foods Association (NNFA) recently awarded the company Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification and its sterling ‘A’ rating
for compliance to its rigorous standards. As the largest and oldest
non-profit organization dedicated to the natural products industry in
the United States, the NNFA’s GMP certification program is regarded
as the nation’s gold standard of natural product quality. The goal of
the NNFA certification program is to ensure that all elements of the
company’s manufacturing processes meet specified performance standards
on each measure, including quality and disease control, cleanliness
and training, receiving and testing of raw materials, and procedures
for storage and distribution. In a comprehensive audit conducted by
third-party inspectors of Metagenics’ personnel, plants and grounds,
sanitation, equipment, quality operations, production and process controls,
and warehouse, distribution, and post-distribution practices, the company
exceeded the NNFA’s stringent standards to achieve certification.
