Lamberts® Green Tea 2750mg
Green Tea Extract
providing 250mg catechins
Benefits of Green Tea
Antioxidant
Green tea is a rich source of very
potent free radical scavenging polyphenols, such as epigallocatechin
gallate and gallic acid. In addition, it has been shown to raise the
activity of glutathione peroxidase and other antioxidant enzymes in
the small intestine, liver and lungs.
Anti-Microbial
Evidence suggests that green tea
possesses a potent activity against harmful bacteria and viruses,
most likely due to the direct effects of catechins and the indirect
effect of the raised levels of glutathione peroxidase.
Anti-allergic
Various flavonoids found in green
tea have been shown to inhibit the release of histamine, a major
chemical mediator in allergic reactions.
Thermogenic
Green tea contains compounds such
as theophylline and caffeine, both which have been shown to enhance
the rate of fat metabolism. Since the greater the rate of fat
metabolism the more free radicals are produced, green tea's
antioxidant properties are especially useful. (Although coffee
contains higher levels of caffeine, it also contains potentially
harmful roasted hydrocarbons, which are potent free radical
sources.)
Green
Tea (Camellia sinensis) is believed to gently increase our metabolic
rate (our body’s ability to convert food into energy) and for this
reason has soared in popularity with those watching their
waistlines. It is also a powerful antioxidant and free radical
scavenger. These effects are as a result of compounds known as
catechins (polyphenols) found in high quality green tea leaf
extracts.
Lamberts® Green Tea extract has been sourced from one of the world’s
most sophisticated suppliers and is of the highest quality,
containing the correct balance of actives.
Lamberts
Green Tea extract not only provides a full 250mg of catechins from whole
