This product may have the following benefits
(please
read this important notice concerning supplement medical claims)
May help symptoms of:
- Cystitis
- Urinary tract infections
Cystitis is the term given to
inflammation of the bladder. It arises most commonly as a result of
bacterial infection but may also be caused by fungal infections and
dietary factors.
Infections of the bladder may 'track'
upwards towards the ureters and kidneys, giving more generalised
infections of the urinary tract.
Symptoms of cystitis include urinary
frequency, burning or 'scalding' on passing urine, pain in the groin
and a desire to pass water even though the bladder is empty.
Urva-ursi works as a urinary
antiseptic. Its action is of benefit in cystitis caused by bacteria or
fungi. It is more likely to be of help if the urine is alkaline
(increase vegetables and fruits, except citrus fruit, and decrease
protein, avoid tea, coffee, sugar, alcohol and soft drinks).
Bioforce Uva-ursi Complex also contains
Echinacea for the immune system.

Herbs
For thousands of years, herbs have been used to help maintain many aspects of
health and wellness. Today, research and technology are bringing herbalism into
the modern age – with improved extraction, standardization, and farming
methods. Clinical studies are beginning to validate herbal therapies, so even
some in the medical community are starting to accept them.
Many of today’s
medicines were originally derived from botanicals. Aspirin once came from the
white willow tree, quinine from the bark of the cinchona tree, and digitalis
from foxglove. Herbs are still the basis for Chinese medicine and are important
constituents of many European natural remedies. As Hippocrates said, “Let they
food by thy medicine, thy medicine be thy food”.
Some of the herbs
available on this site are wild-crafted – grown in the wild – while others
are meticulously cultivated on herb farms.
