How does Bioforce Knotgrass
Complex work?
- Rich in silica
- Strengthens soft
tissue
- Cleansing/diuretic
- Anti-inflammatory
Most of the herbs in Bioforce Knotgrass
Complex have a degree of diuretic action. The increase in the volume of
urine results in an increase in excretion of waste matter. This in turn
eliminates unwanted toxic material from the soft tissues of the body.
Betula alba (Birch) contains saponins and
flavonoids which have anti-inflammatory activity. It is also a bitter
digestive stimulant and diuretic, a combination which is useful in
alleviating inflammatory conditions such as rheumatism and arthritis.
Solidago (Golden Rod) is a diuretic which
also possesses anti-inflammatory action.
Urtica dioica (Stinging Nettle) increases
the excretion of uric acid and other acid metabolites from the body. It also
contains nutrients which are important for the soft tissues of joints,
especially silica.
Polygonum aviculare (Knotgrass) and
Equisetum arvense (Horsetail) are also rich in silica.
Silica rich plants assist the immune system
in cleansing the body of toxins and help improve elasticity and strength of
connective tissue.
Potentilla anserina (Silverweed) has an
astringent action on the digestive tract.
Mentha piperata (Peppermint) is also a
digestive aid.
Interestingly, it is now thought that
crystalline deposits in joints may be responsible for many cases of
arthritis. The dynamics of the joint are altered, leading to inflammation.
Improving the elimination and 'cleansing' of body fluids removes the end
products of metabolism from tissues, together with accumulated toxins which
are known to cause and aggravate arthritis and rheumatism.
